How to get a Continence Assessment in Adelaide

Complete a referral. You, a family member, a support coordinator or a GP can fill in our referral form. No GP referral is needed.

We call to arrange a time. Choose a home visit, Telehealth or phone. If you have earlier reports or care plans, you can upload them with the referral.

Your assessment. A private, unhurried conversation of up to about 2 hours with our Clinical Continence Nurse about your bladder and bowel patterns, health history, medications, daily routine and goals. Your written report. Within 1-2 business days you'll receive a personalised management plan: strategies, therapies, product recommendations and the information funding bodies ask for. Each report reflects 8 to 10 hours of your nurse's work.

Funding your Continence Assessment in South Australia

NDIS. We work with self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants. Your report provides the evidence needed for continence supports in your plan. Your support coordinator or plan manager can confirm which budget to use.

Support at Home (formerly Home Care Packages). Your assessment may be funded through your Support at Home budget. We coordinate with your provider.

Continence Aids Payment Scheme (CAPS). CAPS pays eligible people up to $739.40 for continence products in 2026–27. Since 1 July 2026, Support at Home and CHSP clients can apply again. A registered health professional completes the Health Report section of the application.
